I remember the very first time I heard Gloria, back in MTV's earliest days; this song just never, EVER, gets old, and I became an instant and devoted U2 fan. I always wished they kept the rest of Adam's bass line in towards the end, but I can forgive it. And the ending vocal sequence is just pure magic. Almost 35 years later, and it still moves me every time.

Earlier releases of U2's best work. Profound lyrics and nice melodies, riddled with biblical verses and the Edge's chiming riffs.

I only like one album by these guys: The Unforgettable Fire. But this very early stuff is kinda cool too. They were almost like a punk band here

Bono at his young, self-conscious, rocking, sexy best. Loved this song when it came out on MTV (back in the day) and fell in love with U2 when this came out as one of their first singles. The Edge's guitar work on this song is epic!

This video was my first exposure to U2, and 34 years later it's still my favorite of their songs:)
