We finally made a video for one of my many different versions of "The Hardest Thing" - SO GLAD WE GOT THIS OUT!!! Also, it was with my great friend Kurt Hugo Schneider - Don't be deceived people...this is an original song I wrote about 4 years ago about my parents and a relationship that I was loosing after 3 years of dating - pretty nuts. Thank you for this song Mr. Ward. I would like to share something special about this song for my family. There are silent tears falling down my cheeks as I type this..i considered not sharing...but felt like I should.My 7 year old daughter asked me to play this song tonight just before bedtime,she listened to it 3x in a row completely silent, staring up at the stars on her ceiling.then whispered to me. " He's singing to Auntie Parris and she likes it.... did you know that mama?" As I choked on a sob I said " How do you know that sweetheart? "She smiled & said " Because everyone loved her mama, she was special , that's why she's an Angel in Heaven now " Then my oldest daughter standing in the doorway (after a long pause) said " it's hard for us to miss her......but her love will be with us forever." I kissed my girls goodnight with a smile and said to them " You are so very right......her love is eternal, time will not change what she means to us" My sister, their Auntie Parris V.
