It was a beautiful night. The pixies were dancing beneath a clear star-filled sky, their tiny feet leaving trails of rippling starglow on the glassy pond's surface. All was peaceful, until something lit bright the sky. Flames erupted from the heavens, a deadly flash of heat and rage came tearing down to earth. Horrible creatures flew in behind the flames, descending upon the pixies. When the fires went out by morning, all that remained to tell the tale was drifting dust of the faes in the light.
