I don't think most people straight gay lesbian etc realize just how oppressive it is to not display affection for your partner either by choice fear or expectation. to stifle what is a natural tendency for many people to share and display love/ affection can alter the chemistry the attraction the feeling there in cheapening our interactions to just sex and pleasantry. it's not about sex exactly it's abut freedom and living. being suppressed repressed perceived or otherwise is a great pity and sells our right to display our love and show that joy and happiness to others to normalise it and realize it's no different not perverse just natural and robs us of our true potential in life. I feel the suppression and rejection of these displays of affection by our peers and society in general is robbing us of humanity making us uncaring compassion less creatures motivated by status and greed, leaving our world to the harshness and brutality of man depriving us in general of the love for our fellow mankind and the possibilities a truly free and happy world.
