no one wants to really admit to pain like this..... and few really understand the depth of this kind of loss.... take out the teen romance and actors whatever, think of a heart wrenching loss and experience that comes with that loss of a parent as a child.... that's what the are trying to portray here a deep profound love .... a love so great, the absence is felt painfully, and is not brushed off so fast ..... yes through out the rest of the book/movie she slowly comes out of it..... and in real life loss can hurt that bad, even in teens when you add hormones in with it..... "its not like someone left, but someone died"
