Turn Around - Billy Joel (Original Pressing). I transfered this from the old LP unto a 16 track digital. Record wasn't in the best shape. Anyway, here is what the original sounded like. Enjoy.

Would anyone be able provide chords to this song?

They faded the re-released version at a point before the original.

How is this longer than the re-released version at the normal speed?

@LeftyBlue That is so true. I credit the producers for tha because country western was HUGE in the 70s and if you wanted to have hits it was a good idea to do something countryesque. Hell even Kool & The Gang were talked into it on "Celebration"

Billy, like Clapton, has a spongelike quality to their approach in that they seem to borrow from many different styles and artists they admire. I admire that. I hear strong John Denver influences in Billy's early works, Beatles too of course.

@failedassassin If you listen to the whole Piano Man album, there is actually a lot of country sound there - lots of banjos and honky-tonk type sound.

@nonnenja2281 Agreed. You can actually get the original version of the LP on CD, called "The Harbor Sessions", but the problem with that is the exact opposite. It's too slow, and sounds terrible. You're probably better off getting a vinyl copy of Cold Spring Harbor, it sounds way better. But that's just my opinion.

I wish Columbia could just stick the original LP on a CD. I can deal with some scratching and hissing here and there!

Any possibility of uploading the rest of Cold Spring Harbor? Thanks!
