Here's the actual music video for 'The Name Is Love' by TSOL, I noticed this wasn't here at all, it's a rare video, very hard to find. I took this off an old 1987 episode of Headbangers Ball. The quality isn't very good, but it's better than nothing at all. I've remastered the audio from the CD copy I have of this track so it sounds much better than the original audio did, so enjoy this rare video!

Change Today? & Revenge were amazing with this lineup, but they lost me on this one.

Thanks for posting this. For all the folks complaining about the hair metal years, well I guess you had to be there. I came into TSOL shouting along to dubbed cassette copies of Property is Theft, but when this album came out I bought it (at Coconut Records at the mall) and was pretty happy. This was 1987, the radio and MTV were full of hair metal, and that's what we had. If you had money you could write to some obscure band you read about in MRR, but otherwise, popular culture was your only option, and this album was as better than most. Take it out of context it may seem odd, but in context, it was a fun album and holds a spot in my heart.

How could a kickass album like dance with me be by the same band as this shit?

I have this album on LP, haha. It's not as bad as the punk/alternative people make it out to be. It's a totally different thing to be appreciated on its own.

I was never a huge fan of their glam work but have it all on vinyl. Still really cool to see this on here!

I have to post a better copy since this was the first music video I ever Produced we shot at the Scattergood Power Station by LAX and the control room was used in Star Wars. We shot it for 12k. I ran into Mitch in 1992 when I was shooting the "One" video for U2 in New York he was part of the lighting crew and flipped when I recognised him. At first he said no I dont know you. Then I said were you in a band called TSOL an he we yeh how did you know that and I said I did your video we had a great time. It was the Zoo TV Tour and we were shooting at old Yankee Stadium. I will did around and find it.

Joe Wood at the time was a great songwriter and had a nice voice that blened well together. That was him on backing vocals too.

Incorrect, Joe & mitch are not original members but Ron Emery & Mike Roche are. This video was recorded at the Scattergood DWP plant in Long Beach I believe.

funny thing about this is at this point in the bands career there are no original members (not sure how that happens its really strange to me) the older stuff is way better than this. still unsure how they went from a punk band to a hair band lol
