'Round in 1985 Joe Wood bought the band name from his brother in law who was in the PUNK TSOL and took the band n a whole 'nother direction, then sold it back in 2005 after the original TSOL wanted a reunion album and tour.I dunno, I kinda dig the sound. I just dont think the marketing of buying another band's established name and doing something entirely different would be good marketing, but it kinda worked.

Y'know, I wanted to hate these guys after losing Jack, but TSOL "rev.2" is not bad in its own right

TSOL was great until they became a glam metal cock rock band.

My friend Tony Kunewalder made this video. He scoped out a bunch of LA bands, and picked TSOL. Paid for the whole thing, and it got TSOL on medium rotation on MTV, which was unheard of at that time.

THIS VERSION of TSOL had a few good songs RED SHADOWS being one.... check it out if you doubt me. its different yes ! does it suck? I think not. just like tender fury.. has jack its different but doesnt suck in the slightest. too many people are stuck on "punk rockness" well F U and your idols.

Sorry Mr. Emory, two members. This record still sucks balls, and this is coming from someone who likes 'Beneath the shadows' A LOT. It's cool though, the influence of 80's 'mysterious/deep cock rock' a la Cult seemed to hit big in OC, and this is only a tad more ridiculous than Uniform Choice's later records. For those who love this and colect vinyl, you can feel lucky, as it can be found in dollar bins all around the world.

Joe Wood sounds like if Jim Morrison was still alive playing in the LA scene. TSOL had a huge influence on me then, and into how i play drums many years later. thank you Mitch Dean.

Sounding like the Damned and looking like Whitesnake or BonJovi....lol This was not TSOL. This was a different band, evidently the name was owned by a record company or something. I don't mind this band necessarily, but it shouldn't have been called TSOL, because it wasn't.

Nah not so much the money changed them, I'd blame the constant line-up changes if anything.
