Great and obscure early 70's glam / proto punk offering by this proto punk bunch.

If you collect this kind of stuff on 45 - drop me a line as I quite often have similar records or spares for trade etc... If you played in the band or know a band member - please let me know. If you have the record at home and it's nothing you need to keep - please let me know. Thanks!

All soundfiles are taken from the record depicted.

my friends and bandmates (two of them) went to see a Troggs gig at the Whiskey (in hollywood) in the late 70's. they came back with this dazed expression on their face (one day later mind you) -- "imagine if the Troggs had a caveman playing guitar.""and then they replaced him with Chris Britton -- who made the caveman (that he had replaced) LOOK LIKE EINSTEIN." apparently they had laughed hysterically like "omg can you believe this shit, this cannot exist" through half of the entire Whiskey A Go Go set. mr B must have had an utterly unique collection-of-one caveman style assaulting and aubusing his instrument, for them to have their minds fuckkked in such a way (without psychedelics). judging by the Troggs recordings A to Z through the 60's...maybe he was still struggling with "the bar chord thing" hell yeah why not."NOTES AND CHORDS MEAN NOTHING TO ME" -- red cross/redd kross LA

How odd, I have this on several compilation albums, and it's a rather more understated mix. this is quite different indeed.

I saw the Troggs playing Live at a club in Yeovil in the late 1980s and they sang this - took years to find a copy!

Some of you younger folk may not know this, but The Troggs were on the 1980 floor show Midnight Special doing this. Cool as can be!!!

The guitar riff reminds me very much of T. Rex's 20th Century Boy, which came a bit after this. Hmmm.
