When I was a kid playing in my first rock band in the 1960s, all the young guitarists were trying to copy the guitar solo on “You Really Got Me” by Dave Davies of The Kinks and the solo on “From Home” by Chris Britton of the Troggs. I’ve always loved this tune. And I love that riff with the octaves.

Iggy has stated that he was inspired by The Troggs. You can draw a pretty clear line from this song to The Stooges.
