LYRICS

I tear your heart out from behind

Remorse survives as mine

You're unaffected

Still unaware

Of the damage done

The shame, it takes me

The pain, it breaks me

What have I done?

How do I atone for all that's unknown?

I feel the ice-cold dagger

Make its way between my ribs again

I stand before disaster defiantly - I lie, then suffocate

I'm running on empty

I'm chasing a dead dream

I'm all out of time

Clutching the will

Only to feel

No way to heal

I try to mend it

To build it back

But the wound's become a scar

You're lying face down

And you're veiled in red

The sight won't leave my head

If you're saying triviums music isn't as good as their old stuff. You all suck, the music they write now is so on point. Slayer aren't writing angel of death riffs, Metallica aren't doing master of puppets esc riffs. Every band changes, but you know it's Trivium. And that's what fucking rules

I like Trivium, been listening for over 10 years. Interestingly enough Matt said that he and his friends never really "liked" screamo music and they began to wonder why they were playing it themselves. Hense why their last couple ablums have softened up. They still kick ass and DO NOT SOUND LIKE METALLICA! :D

This whole album really has a Dragonforce sound to it, and with Triviums own twist to it. Loving it!

I like the song but overall VF to me felt like a Matt Heafy record. It's all about him perfecting his clean singing and really focusing on lyrics. I view this album as a tool so that he's got a wider range to work with for Trivium VII

Those harmonizing intros. I love it when heavy bands go melodic.
