Yes this genre puts style over substance but that doesn't mean the lyrics are naive. Gods unborn son probably represents the new messiah and the fact that he's playing with a loaded gun can be interpreted as there's level of uncertainty as to whether he'll be sent to Earth as there's a chance he'll die before he his born (since he's playing with a loaded).
