She has to leave

She has to go

The fastest way

Is by trism

Steps off the curb

Stella Corona hopes for the best

To be home by sunset

Gotta be home by sunset

She asked me to give her a ride

She said she had to go

Dropped her off by the trism

Through the atmosphere by prism

Go trism

Go trism

Go trism

Go trism

Go trism

Gotta keep, gotta keep movin' on

Gotta keep movin'

Gotta keep movin'

Gotta keep movin'

Gotta-gotta-keep on

It was a human race to get away

And then back again

Like the sun bends light through a prism

She bends herself through the trism

In the smokey streets of the night

She pulls the lever and then bright light

"In the smokey streets of the night...she calls her lover, and then...bright light..." Like all the Bs' music, this track always makes me smile, and evokes the same picture: a woman in a black vinyl belted mini coat, black sunglasses, tights, umbrella, black Luchiny platforms, making her way down Madison Ave. until she realizes she's going to be late for the Intergalactic Conference...So she asks her boyfirend to Trism her that last five thousand light years or so, and is promptly dissolved into bands of light hat are beamed wherever she needs to be...all without breaking a sweat,,,So much fun, made all the better by super musicianship,,,

A suitable slide show YouTube video for one of my favorite non-single B-52s tracks.

There is more to this song than meets the eye, perhaps even more than they realize that they are singing about. This happens with the Group "Yes" as well, such as in the song, "Close to the Edge". The message is the same as they come from the Same Source whether they 'Know" "IT" or not.

I think Trism should have a full effects sci-fi treatment, a short film, or an official music video released.
