i myself an extreme drummer...trey needs to work out on his left handblast ranging from 250bpm onwards....a slightly heavier sticks 5a or 5b will help to bounce faster and better consistency...

what kind of snare is he using? I see only a top ring with tuning lugs and nothing on the bottom? unless it is obscured by something. But a snare with not bottom head, aka resonator, so that would mean that the actual snares would be under the top head, aka batter. I've seen "free floating snares" like you get from Drum Corps made by Pacific drum and percussion; but nothing like this before. It, I suppose in theory would project sound quite well. If anyone knows, please let me in on the secret!

Great drummer, great performance, but his left hand blast beat... it kinda sucks.

great drumming! and man, i just LOVE trigger sound! You don't need triggers into punk, jazz, pop or rock music but in death metal is strictly necessary. i really dislike death metal bands that don't use triggers for example some albums of the band Grave, the bass drum is very strange, some sort of punkish kick...

Why do so many drummers cheat with their ride hands these days? Also, the way he articulates the notes in this song doesn't sound right. If you can't hear it then compare this to the album version. It's subtle but it changes the entire feel of the song.
