Yeah man like an homage to AF. I know Transit has some influence from them and plays some covers of AF songs. It's cool to see bands that aren't so self-centered, or concerned about claiming their success and sound exclusively for themselves, but actually giving some credit to their inspiration

It's hard to imagine that it wasn't a direct influence from American Football. Honestly, at this point I don't even care. If anything, their new album and this art work is a way to 'promote' American Football so more people will be able to check them out along with Mike Kinsella/Owen.
