You say it because you're american, but if you go to Europe, you find that they aren't so popular, instead of Train, that are more popular, since the early 2000s, when they wrote a song that for many criticists is considered one of the most beautiful songs of the decade. And this is not my opinion, is a fact. You can check if you want. For example for VH1 it's on the 31st place, even better than bands like Green Day.
