Never judge an album by it's sales. Winwood's debut solo album was a great album. It was such a radical departure from anything he did before it was rejected by the majority of his established fans and did not find a new mass audience. His later solo work was a commercial success but lacked the creative genius of his work with Traffic. Who the hell wood listen to "higher love" over anything Traffic did. Yet it was his most commercially successful album.

Why did Traffic have to break up? Winwood's solo album in '77 bombed. He should have not disbanded Traffic so soon after '74. Kept writing songs with Chris Wood and Capaldi until at least 1980.

What can you say. Traffic was just a great band. I loved their songs. This is a favorite. When The Eagle Flies is I think is their best album. Love the classics!
