Chris Wood - Hammond organ;

Jim Capaldi - drums, percussion

Winwood/Capaldi)

Found someone who can comfort me, but there are always exceptions

And she's good at appearing sane, but I just want you to know

She's the one makes me feel so good when everything is against me

Picks me up when I'm feeling down, so I've got something to show

Staring at empty pages, centered 'round the same old plot

Staring at empty pages, flowing along in the ages

Often lost and forgotten, the vagueness and the mud

I've been thinking I'm working too hard, but I've got something to show

Staring at empty pages, centered 'round the same old plot

Staring at empty pages, flowing along in the ages

Staring at empty pages, centered 'round the same old plot

Staring at empty pages, flowing along in the ages

Often lost and forgotten, the vagueness and the mud

I've been thinking I'm working too hard, but I've got something to show

You know

Found someone who can comfort me, but there are always exceptions

And she's good at appearing sane, but I just want you to know...

Hard to believe this album is 48years old this year. Traffic certainly left their mark with a blend of rock jazz folk all interwoven into their own tapestry and style with stevie woods vocals driving them on.

An interviewer told Steve Winwood how he loved many things about this song, like the bass, that's so much part of it. He wondered who the Bass Player was. Winwood replied that he played the Bass part on the organ. He once walked out of a show and somebody, who was apparently also impressed by it, gave him a transcription of the bass line.

I used to play this song over and over again. I wish I saw Traffic in concert.

You know , if I were a news director I would play some Traffic every time I went to "traffic" report, there is always a traffic jam at my house, since you tube came out.

If there are such things as reincarnation & time travel, I want to come back as Steve Winwood's Hammond B3 organ.
