After reading the comments and it being my 40th year as a Musician Song writer,i have to agree that they dont pick song writers any more its all sex with karaoke thrown in,with nothing that new about it and full of ego"s covering any music that never gets chance to develope any melody,ect ect,,,The answer,the only answer,is to teach children music and song writing at an age they will put the effort in(by 11+ these days they want everything too easy)My grandaughter is age 6 she sings and plays guitar and is writing songs now(started age5 her idea,and all in her own time) my older grandsons didant seem as interested untill they just seen the electric guitar i bought her,as i said i would if she could play cords and sing heheSo there we are,, 4 grand children 3 guitars,and only 1 broken string in 3 years,guitars are fine,unlike every other thing bought for them during that time,,BUY CHILDREN INSTRUMENTS, and invite people that play them around to start them off,,, IT WORKS and music needs not to lose so many great writers and not to replace them
