remember what those men have done,, they gave their lives for us, for or freedom , for this country,,it is more than I have the ability to do,, I have the deepest respect for them,, may they have peace ,, may there be compassion for their families as well,, never forget what they have given --it is as much as those men, if not more,,pray for them and their families

You know you can always count on trolls to show up on pages like this. Trying to dash people's pride in their nation's greatest heroes, that being those that gave their very life in service to our country. When you are in the military you follow the orders given to you. You go Where you are told, When you are told, and do What you are told. Doesn't matter who the President is. Doesn't matter what the war is about. Doesn't matter how popular or un-popular it may be to civilians. The military follow their orders. This song and many like it are to honor and pay a tribute to our fallen military. It has Nothing to do with politics, who the President is/was, or even public sentiment about what war is going on at the time. It is to honor those who served and DIED while in the process of serving. God Bless our military and the families of those who paid the Ultimate price. One of three brothers who served in the U.S. Navy. I lost two of my shipmates who were serving their country. I will Always remember them. I was honored and privileged to have the opportunity to serve my country. I hope people will set aside their politics and even their sentiments about any particular war to Remember these were under orders and serving when they gave their lives.

We have piece of property that is like Arlington and my niece and husband will be allowed to be buried there when the time comes since they both are in the service, him a Marine and she is a Army Reserve call to action anytime because she is trained as a MP. I hope in the hell he is safe and well because right now he is deployed overseas for awhile. We pray it will be a long, many years before having to worry where they will laid to rest. Richie we love you come home soon!

I know the initial inspiration Mr. Adkins had for writing this song. Mr. Adkins meet the father of the young Marine whose picture and headstone is shown in this video and the conversation with Mr.Nixon led to the writing of the song.Patrick Nixon was a young man with plans to become a teacher when he got out of the Marine Corp. He also made it known to his family that his wishes were to be buried at Arlington Cemetary if he lost his life while serving our country. Unfortunately for him and all who knew and love him; he "made it to Arlington." I knew Patrick, not as well as the rest of my family...my mother babysat him as a young boy, my sister is married to his brother, my daughters knew Pat and my family loves Patrick always. People who make judgements about Mr. Adkins reasons for writing "Arlington" just don't know what the real premise behind writing this song was. It was not politically motivated at all. It reflects a soldiers true story, one that many soldiers buried in Arlington and all of our other military cemetaries across the country share. The song is a true story and tribute to all our fallen heroes. Heroes that never wanted to be heroes, they wanted to help militarily as best as they could and they knew what it could cost them. Many soldiers have given their life and some where taken from them due to carelessness of their own fellow soldiers and commanders. Family and friends of each of these fallen soldiers love and miss them. Stop being mean and negative regarding this song. There are many of us who understand the real meaning of this song. Sad that you haters just don't get the message.

Thank you to all of the men and women who have served our great nation. It is not a perfect nation, but it is still the greatest nation on earth. Freedom isn't free and to those whom much is given, much is expected. God bless you all.

REMEMBER.......

FRIDAY NIGHT SESSIONS

*Trace Adkins* *Arlington* Today is Memorial Day in the United States, a day to remember all the people that have died in military service to the nation.During my childhood in the United States there was a great cultural shift in the public perception of the men and women that served in the military, a great mistake in my opinion.Fortunately I have seen that perception shift again in my lifetime: The soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines are given the respect due them - even if the current areas involved in combat have contentious political motives for being there. So you can hate the fight, just don't confuse the men and women in uniform with the politicians that send them in harm's way.I will be posting memorial videos all day to honor our fallen comrades, comment or send a message if you have any requests.Your grateful host, +Andrew Coffman#fns #memorialday #traceadkins

I try to watch this every Memorial Day. I know that there are things that happen here and I don't agree with everything that happens in this country but I truly thank God I'm an America and I could not be more proud to be an American. Thank you to everyone that have done what they have done to keep me free and safe.
