Toy Dolls: We're Mad (1984) on Cherry Red.

This video is a celebration of the north of England's most famous punk rock outfit Toy Dolls. We're Mad captures the band (perhaps best known for their cover of "Nellie the Elephant") at their best. Not so much a set of songs as a series of short stories. Packed full of witty lyrics and mad machine-gun guitar licks.

i like how he says "its all the same, were insane" because the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results

I have been listening to the Toy Dolls, the Ramones, The Doors and so many bands since i was a kid. I grew up with rock becuz both of my parents were rockers and music like this was mostly succesful in Mexico im just sayin. Im mexican and i love this. So glad my parents listened to them. Nowadays kids my age (12) think its wack but i dont :D

Punk is more of an attitude than a musical style. Punk was never meant to be something specific but rather artistic expression that moves away from what's expected (i.e. mainstream) so yeah these guys are punk all the way.

musicly this is as much punk as the sex pistols, the clash, the ramones, ... but I understand why you struggle with calling The Toy Dolls punk. I call them 'not so serious punk'.
