this is a better album than anyone had a right to expect - it is a serious Rocco outing - the mix doesnt seem digital - I hear a sound stage where the horns have space and surprise the ear as they do in a club (to the farthest corners) Congratulations are due Larry Braggs for pitching himself way above the tonic is these arrangements - always sounds best to me in large bands
