Simon's a badass. At the end of his solo when he Luke went in, Simon turned off his snare, but when Luke started up, Simon was able to turn the snare back on in that extremely short amount of time. WTF?! How do you do that?! That's crazy! Also, is someone able to explain to me the significance of the signs on his double-bass heads?

Simon just becamke my fav. drummer and that's very hard. There are some really seasoned badass drummers out there who also can play any gig and session (Vinnie Colaiuta anyone? The list goes on), but it's very hard to beat Simon's wacky inventiveness, control, deep understanding of multi-meters and his unique, relatively unprocessed and open "ultra detailed hi fi" approach to the drum sound. He is the perfect replacement for the great, late Jeff because Simon doesn't even try to emulate him.
