The musicianship is just breathtaking. Love when Steve walks over to Simon at 4.16 because he needs more from Simon at the end of his solo and then Simon just goes crazy and delivers like the God he is. Just beautiful. Music at its very best.

First time around, he was battling drug addiction and was becoming unreliable, so the band moved on without him. The second time, they actually broke up because they were losing so many original members. When the bass player in this video (Mike Porcaro) contracted ALS, they reunited to raise money for him, but chose a different vocalist (Joseph Williams, who was one of the guys that replaced Kimball in the 80's) because they wanted a "different direction." Hope that makes sense
