Is this TMZ? I thought we were talking about someone's music/art, not what they wear on their head and eat for breakfast. How's that relevant? I don't know her. You don't know her. Let's stick with what we *do* know...her music. In my opinion her music has always been genuine. I don't particularly care if she wears a wig, gets plastic surgery, or eats a ham sandwich while swimming. Her music is qualitative and distinctive; a Tori song is unmistakably her's. What else matters?

In most Selkie stories, if a human man fell in love with a Selkie woman he would have to steal her seal skin and keep it hidden away in a chest or something. But in this song, the Selkie loves him so much, she returns and gives him her seal skin as a gift, and token of her love. A perfect "tori" spin on the story, and a breathtaking song.
