This promo tour for "Creatures" was the last thing Ace Frehley did with Kiss before departing. According to Ace's book "No regrets" he told Paul that he was in no shape to do a full tour with the band and to Paul's credit he recognized that Ace was right and didn't persuade Ace to go ahead with doing the tour. Paul went to see Ace during the "Trouble walkin' " tour (Ace covered "Hide your heart") and Ace went to see Paul during his solo tour where Paul played "New York groove" as a salute.
