I love what Justin does in this vid, all the changes he's made over the years to what Paul did on this song. Especially the way he just strums the fuck out of the open low D after the first chorus, and ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY AT 2:53 when he hits the flange and delay pedals for that one note. That's a ridiculously nice and creative touch, to make something so simple sound so interesting and badass.

WTF is wrong with these assholes complaining about dudes vocals? He's almost 50yrs of age, he's been singing this same song for probably 25yrs now, give the dude a break for christs sake....I think he sounds incredibly clear, in control, and fucking awesome...

He sings perfectly he's and older singer been going at it for a very long time with highly stressful vocals he's not some little pussy singer that uses special mics and other forms of equipment to assets him in singing research what singing does to your vocal cords before you tell a legend he can't sing...

This is pre-reverb. Quite good for raw live. The only thing missing are more albums. 20+ years: 4 albums and 2 EPs.

They're tuned for a concert hall, not recording.

So at first I was wondering why everyone was complaining about Maynard's voice until I heard the second chorus. Maynard has been singing with a higher tone lately that he kind of lost the ability to add harshness to the higher tone. That's at least what I noticed. But I still think that the live performance is great by the whole band.

He sounds terrific still. He's getting older, I mean he'll be 50 next April, so i still think it's pretty god damn impressive, and i'd go see them any day.

the fuck is wrong with you unappreciative ass people? you must not go to too many live shows if you think maynards voice is THAT bad. i was pleasantly surprised by how cleanly he sung it.

His voice isn't horrible he sings it well just not as raw. He has been singing for 20 years and also has two other bands. His voice is just not as strong and singing like he is now more reserved is preserving it. If he were to continue singing like he was in the 90's his voice would be really fucked then so give the legend a break he's still awesome!

Manyard absolutley 100% NAILS THIS SONG!!! Keep in mind also he is the lead singer hes not gonna yell all crazy he has a concert to finish. He's gonna preserve his voice. Whoever says Manyard doesn't do well in this particular video is a fucking idiot. Manyard is awesome \m/
