Well-founded arguments are to be presented to HUMANS; the gender of said humans is irrelevant. In my experience, men resist good argumentation every bit as much as women. If your argument sucks, replace it with a better one.

Maynard made a good point about putting aside belief systems, to look at other ideas and possibilities in order to progress as a person. The mention of 'belief systems' doesn't specifically mean religion nor politics, it can mean the way one thinks or sees the world. For example, an Atheist could change for the better by not being arrogant and by stopping bad habits, and the Atheist can very well continue being an Atheist.

It says "Free Frances Bean" on his shirt. Is that a reference to Cobain's daughter? Does anyone know what it means?

Why is it that a man is asked to embrace his feminine side, but we don't ask of women to demonstrate their masculinity? Modern man is being repressed and destroyed.

IMO what Maynard said regarding himself being much more sympathetic - opposed to empathetic - towards a feminine point of view was a very accurate and plausible statement. As a man myself I can say that I feel the same way. The reason being is because although I can sympathize, show compassion, and attempt to gain a better understanding of various feminine beliefs and perspectives, until I have actually "walked in the shoes of a woman" per say, I cannot possibly possess the ability to empathize, or actually SHARE those same feelings of another woman. I've always wondered how my general outlook on life would change if I could...

I don't know, Maynard. With those tits and those shoes, it's hard to believe you were raised male.

Women have lost their touch now a days. Not all but quite a lot. They used to be so respectable then and earlier but no one respected them, now most of the earths population is fixated on happiness and equality but to the women we are respecting for wrong reason and praising for what they're trying to do and teach. A girl then was supposed to be respected for her independence and emotional strength and how professional she looked and how great her personality was but society didn't give it to them (the men and some women) and now they're shaking their ass, cussing in music, having little girls follow them, fucking everyone and anyone and all the terrible shit they do and everyone respects them now like I'd rather stay how I am now (a gentleman) and have girls call me a bitch and guys call me a fag just because I know what's right.

Love this band, as a musician myself ( well kinda..I'm a drummer ;) ) I can appreciate this band on many levels. I have to say though, the fans kind of annoy me. Ironic I know. It's just all the pseudo intellectual bullshit you often see in the comments section of a Tool video. Sure some people are genuine, 90% are just bunging it on though. I havn't read a comment thread in a tool video where I've NOT rolled my eyes and had a bit of a laugh at least once in a while. This may garner me a little hate and if it does, if you're one of those people, just know that while you're typing our your comment..we both know I'm right about this.
