This is one of those songs that never leaves my mind. I remember listening to it on the radio in June of 1972 as I headed to the armed forces center in Denver to be sworn in to the ARMY. All I could think was that it was too late for me to turn back now. I'm glad I went because I enlisted as a boy and came home a man.
