These rumors don't work now because of the internet. You could look it up before the person telling you even finishes their sentence. Back in these days, though, you couldn't look it up, plus a lot of people believed that the media wouldn't report on a dead rapper, anyway. So, death rumors got mileage back then. I wouldn't be surprised if Short or his record company planted these rumors, though. lol.

@spinbackremixes Because he was gone for a minute and then all the death rumors started popping up. The most popular one was that he was one of the people that died in the S.F. Earthquake in '89, which is what he was referring to in the song.
