To anyway who wants to criticize Tony just because he was on the Voice, Matthew 7:2 "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.". God knows his heart and that is all that matters.

You said a person's music has nothing to do with their relationship with God. How can a person feel close to God and without blemish if they are singing about sinful things? Do you see my point? People don't believe in holiness and sanctification anymore. Everyone believes it is ok to live in the world and serve God. The Bible says we cannot serve two masters. And God said, He rather we be hot or cold, than lukewarm.

The Bible also speaks of "the appearance of evil". For example, if you say you're living with your boyfriend and you're a Christian but yet the two of you aren't sleeping together, no one is going to believe you. You may very well not be sleeping with your boyfriend but you are giving off the appearance that you are. Do you see what I'm saying? Tony may call himself a Christian but the "APPEARANCE" is not Christian and people may not believe him. Keep reading that Bible you speak of.

Nope not being judgmental. Did you see my last sentence? How is anyone going to be brought to Christ via "The Voice"? From my knowledge, I haven't seen any Gospel or Christian artists come through that show. Answer me that question.

And the Bible doesn't say that. When the disciples asked Jesus specifically about FALSE PROPHETS He told them that you would know them by their fruit. Jesus did NOT say that you get to judge other people's faith or whether they are a Christian by their fruit. Read the Bible sometime, sheesh!

Sorry, but that is really judgmental. Performing "Christian" music or not has nothing to do with someone's relationship with God. You have NO idea why he is doing what he is doing. Just because you don't want to be thought of as being judgmental doesn't mean you aren't. You really are. You owe Tony an apology...

And one more thing. He was on the TV show "The Voice"? Is he not singing CCM anymore? I hate it when people start off doing Christian music but want more notoriety and money so they switch to the secular scene. People are turning away from Christ in droves just so they can have more attention and money.And I'm not judging him because the Bible says you will know a person by their fruits and how they live their lives. I don't see how anyone is being brought to Christ on via "The Voice".

I remember seeing him on late night TV on a Saturday singing this song. He is a bit effeminate(sp?) but if you guys say he's straight, then I believe you. I know guys personally who have more twist then I do but they married women and have children. They very well may struggle with something but choose Christ and the struggle over becoming a switch hitter. God bless Tony and I do love this song. Sometimes I just burst out with this song with no prompting.
