MrJDP1974 - the '35 Martin D-28 was bought by the Whites in about 1959. In 1966 Clarence pawned it to liquor store owner Joe Miller, who Tony purchased it from in 1975 for $550. It hadn't been played for 9years and 'was a wreck'. Its a Martin neck w/out the CF Martin headstock decal and no fretboard markers b/c the original fingerboard was replaced by one from a Gretsch. It is Adirondack and Brazilian (as are all D-28's of this era). The soundhole has been enlarged, maybe for aesthetic reasons.
