Recorded by Tony Christie in 1971, lyrics by Peter Callander & Geoff Stevens. Was originally a big hit for Daniel Boone, but this version beats it hands down!

This is by far without doubt THE BEST rendition of this song ever recorded. Tony Christie has an amazingly gifted voice he sings with such emotion & passion.
