The core ideas in this song were originally written for Animal, a VFX firm in Pittsburgh, but they never released the film I wrote it for, so I adapted what I had for a film I was working on at the time called "Finding Home." As I was writing the score for Finding Home, the director synchronized Breakthrough with a scene in the film and fell in love with it. I was blown away...it was as if Breakthrough was made for Finding Home - so we made the edits, seal ed the track and decided to release it exclusively with the Finding Home score.
