I loved Simel's reviews as well. His "Amerika" was now the other greatest LP of all time. My favorite Simels review was the 3 words he wrote for Pink Floyd's "The Final Cut"..."Excess Most Wretched."

This is the picture that made me do it! Yes, i did. I had a gun, i had a toilet. I have another toilet today and no more gun. Don't let me go into the messy and surprising details of the event, i should have been more concentrated in physics classes. JUST DON'T DO IT¨!!

I hadn't heard this song--or even heard it mentioned--in a couple of decades, and I just lately realized that I still waiting to hear it again after all that time. I didn't expect it to be as good as I remembered it being...but it turns out to be even better than that! I'm so glad that the stupid radio didn't play the song to death because now I can hear it with my late '70s memories intact. Thanks for posting it.

I remember the precise review--I was a huge fan of Steve Simels, followed his every word, so when he wrote that Tonio K's debut was *the* best record ever made, I bought it. And was mad for this music!

Oh, the memories this album brings back. What a shock to find I'm not the only one who remembers this hidden masterpiece!

The immortal Tonio K. and Life in the Foodchain was reviewed very early after its release by Steve Simmels of Stereo Review as one of the greatest albums of all time. I agreed with him then and now, after all these years.

This is literally my favorite album of all time. Springsteen, The Beatles, and Tony Bennett made a few good ones, too. (g)
