In 1990 Hank Snow asked the brothers to perform at his tribute show so they reunited for this one night. It was the first time they had perfomed as a group in over five years and the last time they ever appeared on stage together.

I had the pleasure as a now retired journalist of interviewing JPG at a gig in Hampshire, UK, back in the early 90s. It was the final of a number of gigs that was a greater number than the days they played them in.JPG collapsed on stage close to the end of the gig - put down to sheer exhaustion. At his invite, I later joined the band at their hotel that evening, had a few beers, enjoyed a chat, and subsequently wrote the interview for my local paper. It is only on the day that I make this comment that I became aware that JPG had passed on.It has been a savage decade of musical passings.RIP and serenade the angels John - it was my pleasure to have had the opportunity to meet and chat with you.

Know that Chuck had a good reason for leaving the group, by why did Jim and Tompall break up? They were so good together.

Candyce, thanks for clarifying the situation with Chuck. I was able to hear his voice in their singing of "Loving her was Easier" and just like Jim and Tompall, he had a delightful voice and the 3 together was magic. And he was indeed fully contributing during this reunion.

Everyone keeps asking why the Glaser Brothers have not been inducted in the Hall of Fame. The reality is that individually and as a group they made waves. They made people mad. They didn't get along with everyone. They thought that country music artists needed to have more control over their own music. In addition, they drank and acted foolishly during their 30's and 40's (or longer). They were not nice drunks (fortunately they all decided to stop drinking) and they alienated people. I find it ironic that while they were fighting to change the way that country music was conducted, their behavior made them poster children for country music artists of their era. The reality was that with only a few exceptions, everyone in the industry was doing the same thing. The bottom line was that that they made a lot of people mad; thus creating a situation that is still being played out today. This point is important because some of the people that the Glaser Brother's angered were in a political position to keep them out of the Hall of Fame. The CM Hall of Fame, like most organizations, had a definite political component to it for many years. While you clearly cannot be inducted without having great talent, in all probability, many artists and songwriters may have deserved to be inducted but have yet to be acknowledged. I personally think the Glaser Brothers should be inducted due to the impact that they had on country music, the support that they offered as background singers, producers, publishers, and of course as an incredibly talented musical group. With that said, even if the brothers are never inducted, that does not take away from all that they accomplished as a group and as individuals. While we wait and see how all of this is going to play out, it would be great if people would pray for Tom's widow, June Johnson Glaser, who is still dealing with the loss of her beloved Tompall. It would also be wonderful if they would also pray for peace and blessings for Chuck, Jim and their families. Those two boys and their siblings (John and Eleanor) still have a lot of loving and living to do and your prayers for their daily lives would be a great blessing. Prayer is powerful.

Kris Kristofferson was the songwriter of "Loving Her Was Easier". In the context of this video Tompall and the Glaser Brothers are the artist. Look for the OFFICIAL Tompall and the Glaser Brothers Facebook page coming out very soon. It may be called the Glaser Brother's page. We are not sure at this time.

Here i am again listening and watching. Only recently discovered the third brother, middle back, had suffered a stroke at around 40 years old. I love the interaction with Jim and Tompall. They definitely should be in the hall of fame.
