Round one of the Guitar Center King Of The Blues contest. What a joke this was. The "winners" selected by this store were very mediocre players at best. Only one of the judges, Mike "Junior" Clark, is a blues player (and a damned fine one at that), the other two had to have been morons. And I mean that in the nicest way possible. Wake up GUITAR CENTER!! If you're going to 'fix' the contest, at least make it look believable!! Mike Clark was very apologetic about the stupdity of the other judges and welcomed Tommy to take the stage with him anytime...Mike's a class act.

I suppose the judges deemed he was already a professional player and didn't choose him because of that, otherwise, it's an X-file.

I would love to see/hear the players who were chosen above this.  I mean come the fuck on.  SRV style predominantly, with some awesome Albert King simpler licks and a few prime examples of BB vibrato.  GC is lame as hell man.

I am not here to talk about Tommy's playing. I am here to talk about this bullshit competition. This is no way to make a career. And who cares what a few loser judges when they each have their own opinion of what they like decides who wins or not. And what style you're feeling you should be playing that day. Sounds like a whole lot of anxiety. It's like the show America's Got Talent. Everybody thinks they have talent. Gary Shandling the famous comedian and actor says it best about America's Got Talent and contests like these. He says "I've got talent so go fuck yourself."

Fabrication sucks..  But I must admit it sounds (Remedial) Sorry they made you go there.. But it does look like a commercial for basic blues guitar..   Your ending lick was the only thing that sounded like (Unbridled) Blues.  Better luck next time.

now it's just a competition to see how well you can sound like Jimi, Clapton, or SRV. lol, gotta be nerve racking. All the judges are listening for accuracy and technique not creativity or ingenuity. The blues has become happy and uninteresting.

Ick, I went and listened to his impression of "Cold Shot". Nobody to judge... At least this guy has technique, timing and is playing in tune...
