This is so true. 1950s rock 'n' roll was very blues based. Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvs Presley, Chuck Berry, Gene Vincent, etc. were all blues based singers and their rock 'n' roll was blues. Western Swing from the 1940s also echoed all these blues and Moon Mullican, etc. sang many of these type of songs and Mullican met Robert Johnson in the hotel both recorded in, a young Jerry Lee was fascinated by Robert Spencer (Johnson's other name) selling his soul to the devil story and Elvis had Arthur Crudup

That was ROBERT Johnson. They were not related but both excelllent traditional blues singers of the highest order.

the facts is.... Tommy Johnson since 1956 has laid in an unmarked grave in Warm Springs Cemetery near Crystal Springs, MS. His niece Vera Johnson-Collins has worked tirelessly to open the cemetery and place a headstone on his grave.

I don't care who are who doesn't listen to blues. I do! And I know Tommy Johnson is a true American Musical Legend. And like it or not The Blues influenced most of the music that came after be it black or white people performing it!

thought he learned the guitar from his brother and made the deal before robert due to the fact he was about 10 years older than him?

@RubDudeproductions hahaha, You and the thirty three people who believe this are misinformed. He learned to play the guitar at the crossroads.. He never denied going there and meeting "The big black man" but he Didn't "sell his soul" Google Hoodoo.
