Studio version, music video, lyrics.

Look over yonder what do you see

The sun is a-risin' most definitely

A new day is comin' people are changin'

Ain't it beautiful crystal blue persuasion

Better get ready gonna see the light

Love, love is the answer and that's all right

So don't you give up now so easy to find

Just look to your soul and open your mind

Crystal blue persuasion

It's a new vibration

Crystal blue persuasion, crystal

Blue persuasion

Maybe tomorrow when He looks down

Every green field and every town

All of his children every nation

There'll be peace and good brotherhood

Crystal blue persuasion

For one, meth wasn't around when this song was written. Heroine? Yes. Forget the Conspiracy theories and just enjoy the music, words and visuals. This was during my time and it rocked.

My buddies and I were in Basic Training at Ft. Sam in San Antonio. This song kept us going and looking forward to going home...most of us got home and are thankful for songs like this. It just doesn't get better!!!!

These dopers would do anything to avoid the draft; even posing as gay. I found this to be the lowest of all the excuses. They were right there with Limbaugh and his piles. Some seem to be proud to be part of the common denominators of all the craven males who didn't give a damn about the inordinate number of blacks, Latinos and whites from destitute backgrounds in Appalachia getting snuffed in rice paddies or the Central Highlands. When they did away with all the deferments and went to a lottery these same losers were pathetic soldiers who got strung out on heroin. These are the same assholes who whine about how bad the VA is as they feign PTSD and a host of other medical anomalies. The majority of those that didnt go to Nam are consumed by materialism and indifference to those who are crapped on every day; poor women and children and the destitute of all kinds. What a legacy.

I love that song so cool. I wish we were in those days again. Where we had no problems and just lived by the seat of our pants. Life back then was great and no one died unless it was an accident from the musicians. Everybody was a friend to each other.

Great collage of film snippets, jmms429. IMO, this was Tommy's best song. VERY 1969! Luckily, I saw him perform when he was in his early 40s, and he still looked like a teenager! Must be the love beads...

I was 21 in '69 -- thought I'd be young forever back then. Great vibes...
