Advanced 5 min (Tommy Igoe) Life Time Warm Up on practise pad. I dropped an accent at the end of the 11 stroke roll and there is a slight fluff in the paradiddle (variation 3) This is a great work out that really tests you to tidy up your chops.

That's impressive stuff mate! You've obviously put the hours in. I heard this DVD was great, so I was just checking out some youtube clips before buying it. It seems it's exactly what I'm looking for. I've got the JoJo DVD and it's fantastic, but I was looking for something to help me string some different rudiments together. I've been doing singles, doubles, paradiddles and paradiddle inversions as recommended on the Morello DVD for months and months now, and need some new excercises. Actually

@drumsallout - all the stuff on his DVD is relevant and can be applied though getting the stuff up to the speed Jojo does it is an entirely different story - I certainly can't - he discusses things like applying techniques in German or French grip and I find myself doing it somwhere in between. I would go for Tommy's one 1st and then move onto the Jojo DVD. They are both worth their weight in gold.

@rolandtd4kx01 haha well the solo was not actually me, i took it at a show i went to, i know the drummer a little bit. Anyway, concerning the jojo mayer DVD, there are some things he explains like the moeller technique and the rearranging phrases section that are on youtube, that I am not able to do even after watching the clips and trying to mimic them. are most of the stuff on jojo's dvd applicable if you follow his instructions?

@drumsallout -Both DVD's are completely different - Tommy provides a warm up system combining all the core rudiments and Jojo delves into the various different techniques and their variations. If you are in this for the longrun then I can only say buy both as they are both equally important and very different. Liked your drum solo - dude

@kallewille Cheers man! yeh the paradiddle accent variations are total chop busters, but not impssible so let me know when you post your advanced performance. I can't find any other advance versions on You Tube either which is strange considering all the brilliant unheard of drummers on here. Maybe soon.

Well done, sir! You even did it at the faster tempo. You're the first post I've seen playing the advanced version. I've got the intermediate and have started working on the advanced, but the paradiddle accent variations are killing me! Again, good work.

@rolandtd4kx01 - yeh! Groove Essentials is the business, still have a good few to nail in book 1. I have been looking at some clips on book 2 on You Tube and it looks even better.

@rolandtd4kx01 He is a really good teacher, I have had his groove essentials books for about 1 1/2 years now........still practice with them every weekend. Perhaps I´ll give this technique dvd a shot......have to work on my left hand :)
