I grew up the 50's and always say it was UTOPIA and where music was INNOCENT..For those who are young you have no idea what you missed. Elvis. Platters, are justa few, I could go on and on. It was a great time.

I remember the 1951 and 1958 versions... 1951 @ 13 years of age, !958 a young Marine listening to it in the barracks... I had a one year old daughter at that time... I was still thrilled with life and music meant so much to us even as now... The memories ring true.

This song is for everyone's first love that got away or never was. I know I had oe that I still think of today. In the fifth grade I had a crush on a little red head girl named Nancy. Then she moved away and I never saw her again till High School. There she was with the nicest ponytail any girl ever had. Did she remember me? I don't know, she was so pretty and I just never had the nerve go up and talk to her. We had no classes together and I only went to that school for two years, but to this day I still think of her and wonder what happened to her. I hope she had a great life. Gee I really got carried away, that's what this song does to you.
