Tommy DeCarlo's cover of "Peace of Mind."

lyrics

---------------------------------------------------------------

Now if you're feelin' kinda low 'bout the dues you've been paying

Future's coming much too slow

And you wanna run but somehow you just keep on stayin'

Can't decide on which way to go

Yeah, yeah, yeah

I understand about indecision

But I don't care if I get behind

People livin' in competition

All I want is to have my peace of mind

Now you're climbin' to the top of the company ladder

Hope it doesn't take too long

Can'tcha you see there'll come a day when it won't matter

Come a day when you'll be gone

I understand about indecision

But I don't care if I get behind

People livin' in competition

All I want is to have my peace of mind

Take a look ahead, take a look ahead, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...

Now everybody's got advice they just keep on givin'

Doesn't mean too much to me

Lot's of people out to make-believe they're livin'

Can't decide who they should be

I understand about indecision

But I don't care if I get behind

People livin' in competition

All I want is to have my peace of mind

Take a look ahead

Take a look ahead

Look ahead

Tom does a great job. But Michael Sweet from Stryper was even better than Brad when he sang lead vocals on several occasions.

The band sounds great, but I think Mike Masse would do a better job on the Brad Delp songs... did the band ever consider Mike for the spot?

It's hard to imagine anyone doing a better job... Hat's off to Tommy DeCarlo.

He may be a good singer, but without Brad, Boston should just throw in the towel. His vocals were every bit as instrumental to their sound as anything Tom Scholz ever came up with.

I read in the Wikipedia article on Boston (band) under "Death of Brad Delp" that this singer (a North Carolina Boston fan) was chosen by the band to sing at the memorial jam in Delp's honor, based on the discovery of his My Space page karoke covers of Boston songs, which I believe is what we are listening to here. I can assure everybody that if Tom Scholz remixed this singer's voice IN with the original multi-track recordings of the instruments you probably could not identify which one is which. One of the main reasons is that pro studios (as in Scholz's basement) used "samplers" to repeat parts and re-edit them back into additional tracks, then "ping" or bounce them altogether in one track. People used to tell me I found a way to cheat on tape, but welcome to reality, it's what they do and why some bands cannot produce live what they do in a studio. I've experienced using this idea in the 70s on my then 16 track machine.

I saw Boston with Tommy DeCarlo at the Hardrock in June 2014, I honestly didn't know who the lead singer was before hand but I've been a Boston fan since middle school. The concert was awesome, I researched Brad Delp afterwards and think Tommy is the next best thing. He had everyone rocking. I do miss Delp after learning about him. Was it a suicide or natural death. RIP - Brad. Great job Tommy!

I'm going to the show and I will sing, off-key, along with Tommy in Brad's memory for what was and what still is/can be. The MUSIC is timeless even if the people aren't. The rest of you constipated wine-n-cheese snob-critics can stay under your rocks in the dark and discontent while we listen and sing and celebrate a band as it is today, the memories they gave us in some of the BEST days of our lives AND live the BOSTON legacy. But don't worry. As soon as something irrevocable happens to YOU, we will throw you in a wood chipper and ridicule anyone who dares try to fill your shoes in any way, beneficial to your beloved or otherwise.

Tommy sounds good, but he's not Brad Delp, It's tough for a band to resurrect a particular and more favorable sound when your lead singer has passed. However, the music will live on forever. Well written music always lasts!!

The guy is an "unformed" singer, but the sound is there. Cut him some slack, Brad was singing for years before Boston broke out. This guy will get there.

When will bands learn u can't replace a legend! I wouldn't pay a penny to hear that. Just my opinion.

They are tough shoes to fill. This guy is OK, but he just doesn't reach the notes Brad Delp did.

How can anybody say he "sounds nothing like Brad?" I mean, really? I saw them in concert last year and I can tell you that Tommy kicked ass. Period.
