Me and my Grandpa used to sit on stumps "up the hollow" and whittle when I was 4 years old up til he died when I was 8. I still have the small pearl-handled pen knife he gave me 70 years ago, and I still remember the wonderful conversations we had while the chips flew. God Bless the "whittlers".
