My old friend; what a nice find this AM. I'm unpacking from a move to Florida and listening to my friend from the 60's. We shared a stage at the Unicorn Coffee House about a thousand years ago. Interesting to read comparison comments about the song ! I was more familiar with The Walker Brothers version , and this original is very different but then the ability to be able take a song and change it to something quite different speaks volumes about the quality of the song writing , and what a great , heartfelt song this is ! Never had a chance to see either Tom or The Walker Brothers in concert ( now there's a regret ! ) Thanks for posting it !

Arthur Hanff, you mention a "guitar only ending" to an "extended version" of this song. Tom in concert often segues from No Regrets right into the guitar instrumental Rockport Sunday as though they were a single song. I'll bet that's what you're looking for.

Tom Rush used to perform at the old Salt (Bar) back in the late '70s and we'd always go there to listen to him; he still sounds great throughout the years. Such a beautiful song..
