Depending on how you interpret it. For me its a sad but true kind of feeling. Hard to explain, but that's the great thing about music. Its never the same old feeling. This song use to have a happy meaning for me. After that "face in the crowd" is gone though the meaning changes to a sadder one. Then again you could very well interpret the song as being about ones self, like you yourself were once just a face in the crowd and maybe now your being noticed. I spose that would make it a happy song.
