Hoping to cash in on Tom Jones' suddenly popularity thanks to "It's Not Unusual" in April 1965, Tower Records dug up this earlier track (cut in 1964 for Triumph Records by Joe Meek) and quickly issued it as a 45 in may 1965, where it began it's vlimb to 42 in the USA over a nine-week chart run. It;s omitted from Tom Jones' various "grreatest hits" albums because, unlike "it's Not Unusual" and his subsequent Parrot hits, Parrot did not own the U.S. rights.

Why was this tune forgotten? I hear Santa Lucia every time I hear this tune!

I bought this Tower 45 Way back when I saw it on the EJ Korvettes Record shelf (right along side of It's Not Unusual) I always thought Little Lonely One and b side That's What We'll All Do were very good tunes and played the grooves off that 45.
