For Karlis Skrastins, Pavol Demitra, and the rest of the 2011 Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. RIP. Karlis, Pavol, you made a difference.

This song reminds me of my exboyfriend who was a hockey player and they wanted to train him for the big leagues, he said no and told me he always regretted it. At the age of 22 he took his own life. RIP Grant!

reminds me of a friend of mine in illinois. not the hockey part, but the accident part. every time i hear it, it takes me back to the day i was negotiating the cloverleaf on i-74 in urbana. saw his truck upside down in the middle in about a foot of snow. they traced his footprints to his dad's shop.but it wasn't til about 6 hours later that they found his old lady under the truck. she had been ejected through the sunroof.

@hockeyforlife1313 Your comment is "right on" I was the same with my son until I got a lot of professional help. Now I live it with him, rather than through him. Your dad is a good guy, but he needs help. You are wise beyond your years dude; Good luck. :)

This is actually a sad song if you know the story behind it :( n all I wish for is my dad to support me as I play hockey but instead he tells me everything I did wrong meanwhile he's not the best at hockey.. I wish he would see how I feel about it because hes doing the same thing that his dad did to him and he didnt like it either...

George Pelawa from Bemidji state ? had another scholarship for football and was a pretty damn good baseball player too . His nickname was " the shark" and no there were power forwards already in the nhl before he was ever drafted , Cam Neely and Gary Roberts to name just two .

My 3 yr. old son "can-opened" me back in Feb. on our backyard rink..........he laughed for about an hour. Hurt my back. If he gets to the big leagues I'll have a story to tell.......one can dream a little.

@mx799 if Bourdon were still alive there is no doubt in my mind he'd be a key part to the 2011 cup run. Right now it's 3 games to 1 on San Jose in round 3

My dad always used to say this song reminded of my bro in Baseball and "Mama let him play" for me in Hockey. He died in 2007. I love you dad. <3 This song brings a tear to my eye every time.

next to the old "swing march" from hockey night in canada this is the best hockey song. tom conners "good old hockey game" is kind of hokey-pardon the pun, and the new hnic theme isn't siuted to the game.

"Sometimes at night I can hear the ass crack, it sounds like thunder and rips through my back. " Tom, it may have been an idea to watch your pronunciation of 'ice' on that one.
