This song as was many were intended for Chaka Khan but foul ass record company politics by Warner Bros prevented her from collabbing with other artists!!! Chaka should have and could have been bigger than Whitney(he'll, she was Whitney's idol and the singer who Whitney first sang background for) if it wasn't for WB!!!

I, too, am surprised that the original video is not anywhere to be found. This is probably hearsay or just me remembering it wrong but I believe Donnie Simpson mentioned that the woman lip syncing was the wife of a Washington Redskin player at that time. Probably doesn't help but that is what I recall. By the way I have this on VHS somewhere but it probably not in good enough shape for me to upload.

Yes, Siedah Garrett is the name of the woman singing the song, but in the orignal video back in 1984 there was a different woman lip syncing this song. And she was wearing a white sun dress. And she was beautiful. Who was she? 8-)
