I agree with this man, Todd is definitely a paler prince.

Todd is a deep guy. Wikipedia - Rundgren worked almost constantly on production projects through the early 1970s and he rapidly became one of the most sought-after and acclaimed producer-engineers of the period. He quickly gained a high reputation for his creative approach, his no-nonsense, "can-do" approach, and for his ability to solve problems, work very rapidly and bring projects to completion on time and on budget - Personally the comparison to Prince is in one way valid, Todd is Human, lol

you understand that the guitar is Clapton's Cream guitar. ''the Fool'' SG. Imagine what its worth.

Absolutely except he doesn't dance. Much better song writer though with more hits and great songs without having to talk about cream all the time. Should be in the RRHOF along with other criminally neglected artist.Check out his Black Maria song;

Another #coversunday song for George Harrison's birthday. Here's Todd Rundgren's cover of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps."

Todd refused to kiss corporate ass. Also, he's tail-lights to Prince and most of the rest.

@cathoderoy - Todd had IRS problems for a while and had to tour a lot in order to pay of some tax debts. I heard that he sold off his share of "Bat out of Hell" profits for that reason, and I suppose selling the Fool guitar was part of that, too. I believe he's all paid up now. That beautiful house in Hawaii must take a lot to maintain. I'm a big Bill Nelson fan in general, though not that much Rednoise in particular... but it's a very cool name!

@rednoise0 Yeah, I'd forgotten what it was exactly that Todd had done with it...seems like that thing would be priceless, considering the incredibly cool history behind it...I can't think of a piece of rock and roll memorabilia I would want more...did Todd need money badly or something? I know he's been constantly touring, basically, because he doesn't have any alternative, I guess living in Hawaii ain't cheap...hey, are you a Red Noise fan, by any chance, the Bill Nelson band?

@cathoderoy - Todd auctioned off his original Fool guitar. The buyer was never revealed, nor the price paid. Rumor has it that Todd didn't get nearly what he hoped to get.

@jf99151 It's actually a replica, at this point, the original Clapton one Todd used for decades practically fell apart, and he eventually donated it to The Smithsonian or something...

@surfitlive Man, I was thinking about it today. My friend is fan of Prince and I wanted to introduce him to Todd, and next week I'll do it.

For those who don't know, he's playing Eric's (the fool) Cream SG.

@surfitlive I don't know why you've missed it, but Todd's been out there for many, many years, and we still see and hear from him. He's a musical staple in my life. Can't live without. LOL

I saw Todd sing this with Joe Jackson as an encore in Liverpool a few years ago-a perfect end to a great gig.
