For those in Christ, we are born twice. Our first birth occurs on the day we enter this world. Our second is on the day we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and enter into an entirely new life. However, we are not only born twice, we die twice. When we accept Christ's gift of salvation, the old passes away. Yet letting go of our old ways doesn't happen overnight.
Todd Agnew's song, "Letting Go" is a journey into this new life and into the death of the old self. We are new creations and we were meant to let go of our old, dead ways and embrace this new life given us. Through Christ we are able to let go of the lies of the enemy, the shame we bear for past mistakes and the chains which have kept us bound.
So are you letting go of the old self to embrace the new one? When we embrace this new life in Christ it is not only eternal, it is immediate! Whom the Son sets free is free indeed!

I have a friend on Facebook who is a friend of his (friend of a friend) and I decided to take a quick listen. I was floored to find song after powerful song on this album! I love Todd, he is honest and real. I saw him at a local church here in Austin. 3 man band he came out in a t-shirt, jeans, and barefooted. He is the read deal, no glitz, glam, or flashy lights, this man is all about God. And he sounds just like he does on CD. AMAZING VOICE. This is has become one of my fave songs by him.
